To schedule an in-person or virtual appointment with a 职业顾问 follow these simple instructions:

2. Click on "Career Center" (upper right of screen)

4. Follow the prompts to provide details about what you are needing support with

  Drop-ins work well for students 和 recent alumni seeking to spend 10 - 15分钟 找个职业顾问.  学生 和 recent alumni seeking drop-ins will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  Individual appointments with a 职业顾问 are approximately 30 minutes 和 provide you with the opportunity to receive personalized assistance with your major 和 or/职业生涯 相关的目标. 请注意:

  • We tend to book out 2-3 weeks in advance so make sure to schedule your appointment 相应的.

• What to Expect of Your Career Counseling Appointment

  Our staff is passionate about working with, 和 supporting UNC students in determining 和 implementing their 职业生涯 相关的目标.

  What to expect of your 职业生涯 counseling appointment:

  • 任命 are approximately 30-50 minutes, if needed, Drop-ins are approximately 15分钟.
  • Our services are free for students 和 alumni that have graduated within 3 years, except for some 职业生涯 assessments that may require a fee.
  • We expect you to be actively involved in this process, therefore, please come prepared to talk with your counselor 和 be open to questions, feedback, 和 suggestions.
  • Your 职业生涯 counselor may distribute h和outs for supplemental guidance 和 provide tools 和资源 for you to use outside of your appointment.
  • Your 职业生涯 counselor may determine 和 will likely suggest other places on campus or in the community that may be helpful for you to access.
  • Your 职业生涯 counselor may suggest follow-up appointments if needed.
  • There is no official limit to sessions with a 职业生涯 counselor; however, only assistance on 职业生涯 相关的目标 is provided. If your counselor determines that our services no longer meet your needs, you will be referred to additional services 和资源 on campus 和/or in the community.

  What your 职业生涯 counseling appointment is NOT:

  • The 职业生涯 counselor will NOT tell you what job/major is best for you; they will give you more information 和资源 to help you decide on your own.
  • The 职业生涯 counselor is NOT able to advise you on your course selections or a four-year 课程计划.
  • The 职业生涯 counselor will NOT write or edit for grammar, spelling, etc. 职业/教育 您的相关文件(e).g. 简历, 求职信, letters of intent); they will provide a review of your materials as well as tools 和资源 for you to complete 这些文件你自己看.
  • The 职业生涯 counselor will NOT find you a job or internship; they will provide you with job 和 internship searching techniques 和资源.

  • 隐私 will be respected, but confidentiality does not apply.
  • The 北科罗拉多大学 prohibits 和 will not tolerate sexual misconduct or gender-based discrimination of any kind. UNC is legally obligated to investigate sexual misconduct (including, but not limited to: sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking 和 intimate partner violence).
