In summer 2024, the 飞跃 program will bring together its ninth cohort of sixteen incoming first-year students, UNC’s 飞跃 Scholars. The 飞跃 program fosters an inclusive community that provides an opportunity for you to study 和 learn with other students that share similar interests 和 pre-health 目标 as you do.
飞跃 is a year-long program that provides you with academic support 和 guidance in major 和 non-major classes 和 social support throughout your first year. 我们的目标 is to provide you with the necessary skills 和 a 支持网络 to be successful during your time at UNC 和 prepare you to apply to professional 学校. In addition to the variety of opportunities 和 benefits exclusive to 飞跃, it's a great way to meet new friends 和 have fun!

Our free program will introduce you to your 2024-2025 飞跃 cohort, the peer mentors, the 飞跃 co-Directors, 生物学 和 化学 faculty, 和 the 飞跃 advisors. You will experience life on campus 和 participate in an authentic research experience 和 engage in fun team building activities. 你会 get to meet 和 network with 卫生保健专业人员 to further explore your career 目标.

飞跃是为谁服务的??
飞跃 is a program for first-generation students majoring in pre-health 生物学 or 博天堂官方化学系. (Are you a first-generation student? You are if neither of your parents have completed a college degree). We also support students of color 和 other 边缘化群体.

The first step is to complete the 应用程序. You will be asked to provide some general information 和 answer these three questions:
- Why do you want to pursue a degree with an emphasis in pre-health?
- What do you hope to get from the 飞跃 program?
- What will you give back to the 飞跃 Scholars Program?
- Do you consider yourself to be a scientist? Please explain why or why not.
Your answers don’t need to be long (max 300 words) but should give us an idea of who 你是. Top c和idates will be contacted in early 2024 for a Zoom interview.
